Safety and Security

To ensure safety and security of our children we have established a system which keeps parents informed regarding entry and exit timings of their children from school premises. Each student has been issued a smart Card with a unique I.D. When the child enters or leaves the school, sensors pickup the movement and automatically upload the information to the existing system. SMS alerts are communicated to parents for their information and convenience. This system also helps in keeping accurate attendance records. The message system also helps teachers and parents to communicate conveniently

The school is well guarded round - the - clock by security guards not only at the entry gate but also over the entire campus.

Library and Internet Lab

Our school has the state of art computerized e library which will be well stocked with a wide collection of books and CD's on a variety of subjects. There will be individual work stations where each computer will be connected to the internet for reference work and projects. Two surveillance stations will be monitoring the students' stations to ensure that undesirable sites are not explored

Cafeteria

Health and nutrition of every student is of prime concern at G.D. Goenka Public School, Kanpur. Our endeavour is to provide students with a wide variety of food, while ensuring that they receive a nutritious and balanced diet. The menu has been drafted after taking into account the wishes of students, faculty and the opinions of doctors and dieticians. The judiciously chosen diet which includes the perennial favourite ice-cream ensures nutrition while allowing students to enjoy a wide and varied menu throughout the year. Care is taken to maintain hygiene and standards in spacious dining hall. Dining etiquettes are taught and followed under the guidance and observation of wardens and matrons.

Highest standard of Hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. Only mineral water is served for drinking purposes through a large number of water dispensers placed at convenient locations all over the campus.

Labs

The state of art laboratories for earth and life sciences, physics, chemistry and ecology have been designed to support experiential learning. The analytical & numerical abilities and problem solving skills are enhanced through these workhouses of experimentation.

Students learn at an early age through advanced facilities designed by the educationists and the researchers. This encourages them to become future robotics engineers. The junior classes learn the basics by making models with the help of robotics kits.

A hi-tech computer lab with Internet connectivity to make the students tech-savvy and to keep them abreast with the latest techniques & that teaches not just computer as a subject, but also, the integration of computer skills for learning of other subjects in the curriculum.

The Language laboratory includes the tremendous source of books on different languages and children are boosted to this lab to learn the language skills. This always helps them to learn something new which they do not know.

IT labs adequately equipped for junior and senior students have the latest facilities to familiarize students in using computers. Technologically advanced Wi-Fi system installed, integrates the entire campus with network for multimedia, internet and emailing.

The LRC is the focus of all self-learning, containing a wide range of fiction & nonfiction books, folk & fairy tales, magazines, periodicals and reference material for students and staff.

Transportation

All buses are well equipped with GPS. GPS enables 24/7 real time vehicle tracking. Visibility, current location, speed, distance and routes can be monitored to provide further safety and security to children, other features like geo-fencing, park-fencing, way-points, panic/SOS switch etc. are safety parameters which contribute to enhanced security standards.

At G.D. Goenka Public School, Kanpur. we recognize the requirement of providing conveyance to children staying far away from school. The school owns a fleet of deluxe air-conditioned buses running on CNG. School buses are also equipped with global positioning system. Our fleet of eco-friendly buses goes on to prove that we are equally concerned about the environment our children live in.

Auditorium

Our auditorium is fully equipped with a linear system imported from Spain/USA (intensity of voice same from 1st row to the last row). Video conferencing facility can be done from anywhere in world. Our auditorium has a capacity to seat 450 students at a time. All important functions are conducted here. We also call eminent personalities to our Schools as guest speakers to inspire our young and budding student.

Class Rooms

The students have extensive opportunities for enhancing their learning using specially designed computer systems and software, and contemporary audio-visual aids like plasma televisions and laser discs.

The classroom and laboratories are ergonomically designed, and are air-conditioned to provide a clean and comfortable learning environment in which young minds can function efficiently.

Sports and Gym

Gymnastic is the part of physical exercise which generates inner and outer strengths towards claiming high mounted pioneering upliftment s amongst students. The whole body moves to shape up the systems and thus it keeps the mind and body refreshing. Gymnastic activities are done in our schools which prohibits the illness to get inside and affect the body.

Play Fields - Games:
"All work and no play make Jack a dull boy!" here lies the importance of playgrounds in schools. Students at G.D. Goenka Public School, Kanpur are encouraged to play a variety of sports. Nationally-trained coaches come to the school to coach the boys and Girls.

Cricket, hockey and soccer are seasonal sports. Tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, basketball, swimming, boxing, athletics and gymnastics tournaments are also built into the calendar. Facilities exist for all indoor and outdoor games. Park equipment designed especially for the Preppers and Primary School children keeps them active and in good spirits. The school has its own swimming pool within the premises with separate change room and showers for boys and girls. Every class has a period allotted for swimming in its timetable. The pool is specially designed for our little ones and qualified trained lifeguard to ensure the safety of each child.
